Learning to Self-Soothe

Children may not have developed the ability to problem solve (at least not well...) until they have faced adversity in which this skill can be practiced. Being able to regulate emotional and physiological responses to stressors thus requires outside interventions to self-soothe or calm down. For today we will look at one of my favorite projects to help children (and adults): the calm down jar.
